eTech@Noon Events This Week


iTunes U at UAMS - Jessica Zabel and Brittney Van Zandt from Apple will give a presentation on iTunes U Tuesday, October 30 from 12:00 to 1:00pm in I. Dodd Wilson 115 A/B.

TurningPoint at UAMS - Amy O'Connell from TurningTechnologies (Audience response clickers) will be at UAMS to discuss new products and changes on Friday, November 2 from 10:00 to 11:00 in COPH 8240. (A previous email had the incorrect date.)

Teaching with Technology Committee Meeting - Join us for our monthly open meeting on teaching with technology on Thursday, November 8 from 12:00 to 1:00pm in COPH 8240.

The Society for the History of Medicine and the Health Professions announces $1,500 Research Grant. Deadline for proposals is December 15, 2012. The award will be announced in April 2013.

ATTENTION ILLiad USERS: We recently upgraded the Interlibrary Loan System (ILLiad).  If you access the ILL/ILLiad page from a bookmark on your computer, that link will no longer work.  See the Library’s ILL page for the new ILLiad link and update your bookmarks.

New Carpet on the 5th Floor

The re-carpeting of the 5th floor is finished and the LRC is fully operational. The entrance to the 5th floor hallway has been reopened.

The next phase of the construction is the re-carpeting of the 3rd floor. We will keep you posted about that.

Arts of UAMS Oct/Nov display


The Arts of UAMS and the UAMS Library are proud to exhibit the works of Arkansas Outdoor Photography Club. Several talented photographers are represented in the exhibit October 1 through November 30.

Be sure to come by the display on the 2nd floor of the Library and enjoy these extraordinary outdoor and nature images.

The LRC on the 5th floor of the Library is being re-carpeted. To access the LRC for testing and reviews take the EDII elevators to the 5th floor and use temporary entrance on East Hallway.

Use the main entrance on the 1st floor to access floors 1-3 of the Library. There are computers on each of those floors.
