New PubMed Interface Now Available in Beta Version

NCBI has released the new PubMed interface in Beta version for testing. The main changes are navigational and do not affect the main functionality behind the scenes. Please try out the new interface and then use the feedback buttons to send NLM comments about things you do and don’t like. Below are just a few tips on the new layout.

• Limits and Details are only available in the Advance Search mode.
• Only 5 lines (search sets) of your strategy will show. You have to click a More History button to see the whole thing if you have an extensive strategy.
• Links to the MeSH database only show on the main page (at the middle - right under More Resources) and on the Advanced Search page (at the bottom under More Resources).

The preview of the redesigned PubMed is now available as a link from PubMed’s homepage or the direct URL is: http://preview.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed.

Update: PubMed's beta site is now fully live (11/23/09)
