9/29 National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Saturday, Sept. 29 is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The UAMS Police Department will host a drop off site in the hospital lobby between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for the public to bring unused or unwanted medication.

The event is part of a national effort by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for those who want to safely and properly dispose of unused or unneeded prescription drugs.

New UAMS Library Historical Research Center Digital Collections website

The UAMS Library Historical Research Center Digital Collections website has a new appearance and new features.

The HRC is also proud to announce the addition of a new digital collection containing page images and searchable text from journals published by the Arkansas Medical Society from 1870 to 1922. The journal volumes are being digitized in-house using equipment purchased with a federally funded 2011 Digital Preservation Award (National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health).
